How pricing works

Plain-English: what you pay for, and what you don’t.

You pay for output, not uploads

An output is one finished thing we generate for you: a report, a filled PDF, a custom export. That’s the headline unit, priced per result: $1 per output pay-as-you-go, less on a plan. Reading the files you send in (AI extraction & analysis) is a separate, optional add-on, priced per input document, with a generous page allowance included and a small per-page overage after, no cap. So you’re billed for the outputs you produce, plus the reading they take.

How we’re different

No per-page nickel-and-diming

Most document-AI and OCR tools meter every page or every field from the first one, and you stitch together separate OCR, extraction, and analysis vendors, each with its own per-page bill. dojobase includes a generous page allowance in every input document, charges a low overage only beyond it, and runs the whole pipeline (read, analyze, generate) on one fungible credit pool. You’re priced on results, not nickel-and-dimed per page across three separate tools.

Glossary

Output
One finished thing we generate for you: a report, a filled PDF, an export. This is the $1 unit, and what your plan's included outputs count. It is NOT the files you send in.
Document / file (input)
The files you send in to be read, such as bank statements, PDFs, or images. Reading them is a separate add-on (see Extraction), priced per input document, not per output.
Generation
Producing an output. $1 per output pay-as-you-go (lower on a plan). The first page is included, then $0.01 per additional page.
Extraction
Reading and structuring an input file with AI / OCR, the “scan.” An add-on, not the headline unit: 5 pages per input document included, then $0.10 per page. No page cap.
Analysis
AI judgment over the extracted data: scoring, summaries, verdicts. An add-on: 5 pages per input document included, then $0.05 per page.
Credit
The underlying unit. A plan deposits a pool of credits sized to your included outputs; credits are fungible across generation, extraction, analysis, and delivery.
Bring your own key (BYOK)
Run the AI on your own provider key. You pay a flat $0.15 per input document for our pipeline; your provider bills you for model usage directly.

Questions

What exactly is an “output”?

A finished thing we generate for you: one report, one filled PDF, one export. Not a page, not an upload, not a submission. If a workflow turns a stack of files into one report, that's one output.

Is an output the same as the files I upload?

No. The files you send in are inputs (documents). The output is what we produce from them. You pay $1 for the output we generate; reading your input files is a separate add-on, priced per input document with a generous page allowance.

Do you charge per scanned page?

No headline per-page fee. You pay per output we generate. Pages only show up as overage on the reading add-ons (extraction: 5 pages per input document included, then $0.10/page; analysis: 5 pages, then $0.05/page), which exist purely to cover AI-OCR cost. What you're buying is priced per result.

Is there a limit on how long a file can be?

No hard cap. The included pages cover the vast majority of files; beyond them you pay the per-page overage above, so a 60-page statement just costs a little more to read. For very high volume or unusual sizes, Enterprise negotiates flat terms.

I submit 10 files at once. How is that billed?

By what gets read and produced, never by “a submission.” Ten statements bundled into one report means the extraction and analysis of those pages plus one generated output, not ten charges for uploading.

What do my plan's “included outputs” cover?

Your plan deposits a credit pool sized to that many generated outputs (Growth = 1,100). Credits are fungible, so you spend them on generation, extraction, analysis, or delivery, however your workflow uses them.

Can I use my own AI key?

Yes. Bring your own key and pay a flat $0.15 per input document for the pipeline; your provider bills you for the model usage directly.

What a finished report really takes

A finished report is more than reading the files. Say an applicant sends 4 bank statements (~40 pages) and you need one analyzed report. Document-AI and OCR tools price the reading; the finished report also needs analysis, generation, and delivery, plus the integration to connect them. Here’s who does what.

By hand

A person reviews and generates.

The status quo for most teams: accurate, but ~30-60 minutes of skilled time per report (roughly $30 in labor), and it doesn’t scale. The single biggest cost and bottleneck we hear about.

Competitor extraction service

Reads your files. The rest is on you.

Document-AI and OCR tools extract the data. Analysis, report generation, delivery, and the integration to connect them are still your job, usually across two or three separate vendors.

dojobase · one platform

Read, analyzed, generated, and delivered. One efficient bill.

The report itself is $1 per output pay-as-you-go (as little as $0.46 on a plan). Reading your files adds a small per-page amount, with a generous page allowance included. No vendors to wire together.

Estimates for the ~40-page sample. $1 is the dojobase pay-as-you-go per-output rate (less on a plan; reading large files adds a small per-page amount, see the glossary above). ~$4 is the raw frontier-model API cost to extract and generate it yourself, before building a pipeline around it - and before any competitor markup. ~$30 is roughly 30 to 60 minutes of an analyst’s time at loaded labor rates. Your actual numbers vary with volume, model, and wages.
