Google Sheet / Doc (write)
Write to a shared sheet/doc
Writes the result into a shared Google Sheet or Doc, for example adding a row per job, so your team sees it in a tool they already use.
How it works
Not every result needs to go to a customer. Sometimes you just want a running list your team can watch. This node writes each job's result into a Google Sheet or Doc you connect, most often by appending a new row per completed job, so the sheet fills in automatically as work flows through.
It shines as a lightweight internal log or tracker: one row per application, invoice, or submission, with the columns you care about (name, amount, status, a link to the full report). No one exports anything or copies figures by hand.
You connect your Google account, choose the target sheet or document, and map job values to the columns or fields. From then on the sheet stays current on its own.
Common use cases
Real situations where this node earns its place in a flow.
Append results to a sheet
Write each job's outcome as a new row your team can watch in Google Sheets.
Update a shared tracker
Push results into a spreadsheet others already work from.
Write where the client looks
Deliver into a Google Doc or Sheet the customer maintains.
Google Sheet / Doc (write) in a workflow
A simple example of where this node sits in a flow.
What you set up
- Connect the Google account that owns or can edit the target file.
- Pick the Google Sheet (and tab) or Doc to write into.
- Map job values to the columns or fields (for example name, amount, status, report link).
Common questions
Does it add a new row each time or overwrite?
The common setup appends a fresh row per job, so the sheet becomes a growing log. You choose the sheet and tab it writes into.
Who can see the data it writes?
Anyone you've shared that Google file with. It lands in your own Sheet or Doc, so control access through Google's normal sharing settings.
Settings you configure on this node, stored under data.config in the workflow JSON. Leave a field unset to use its default.
