Score
Deterministic scorecard
Score runs a job through a point-based scorecard you define, adding and subtracting points against your criteria until it lands in a grade band like strong, review, or decline.
How it works
Score is the node that turns your written policy into a number. You list the things that matter (time in business, monthly revenue, number of returned payments, state of operation) and assign points to each, and Score tallies them up on every job so the result is a plain figure and a band, not a gut call.
The important promise here is that Score is deterministic: the same numbers going in always produce the same score coming out. There is no AI judgment involved, so you can hand the scorecard to a partner, an auditor, or a new hire and they will get identical results, which is exactly what you want when a decision has to be defensible.
This is the deliberate opposite of AI Analyze. Use AI Analyze when the input is messy and needs a read; use Score when you already know your rules and want them applied the same way a thousand times in a row. Many flows use both: Analyze to summarize, Score to decide the band.
Common use cases
Real situations where this node earns its place in a flow.
Score every file the same way
Apply a fixed scorecard so two identical statements always land on the same grade, with no model drift between runs.
Sort into grade bands
Turn raw figures into an Amazing / Solid / Review / Decline band your team can act on immediately.
Show your work
Produce a point-by-point deduction record so a decision can be explained and defended later.
Score in a workflow
A simple example of where this node sits in a flow.
What you set up
- List each criterion you care about and the points it adds or subtracts.
- Set the score thresholds that separate your bands (for example, strong vs review vs decline).
- Name the bands so downstream steps and your team read the same labels.
Common questions
Does Score use AI?
No. Score is pure arithmetic against the point rules you write, so it is fully reproducible and easy to explain. AI Analyze is the node to reach for when you want a judgment instead of a tally.
Can I change the scorecard later?
Yes. You can adjust points, thresholds, and band names at any time. New jobs use the updated scorecard, so it is worth re-running a few past jobs to see how the change moves them.
Settings you configure on this node, stored under data.config in the workflow JSON. Leave a field unset to use its default.
scorecardIdWhich scorecard to score against; empty resolves the org's default card.
